Rajasthan Royals is comeback after two year as a strong team



Winner of the inaugural season in 2008, Rajasthan Royals have returned to the Indian Premier League fold after a two-year suspension. Rajasthan retained Steve Smith and then were left with a purse worth Rs 67.5 crore. They spent Rs 65.85 crore to buy 22 players.

Royals have called in South Africa's Heinrich Klaasen as replacement but it would be right to say that he does not come with the same skill-set. Also, Klaasen finding a place in the side in presence of Jos Buttler, who will be the first choice wicket-keeper, looks unlikely.

On 14 July 2015 the verdict reached by a panel appointed by India's Supreme Court suspended Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings for two years over a corruption and match fixing scandal, meaning they could not participate in both the 2016 and 2017 IPL tournaments.
